Success Essay - 758 Words

What does college mean to me? In one word it means success. This word success means so much to me, and it is something that I want to obtain. I have always loved school in fact, I was the one who would get emotional over not receiving an A. School has always been important to me, but I have been placed with obstacles that are making it harder for me to further my education. If given this scholarship I will have the opportunity to further my education, be able to provide for my children while being a good role model to them, and the number one thing is to succeed and finally be a success. My education goals are to receive my Bachelors in Biology, and use my degree to get into Medical School. I have heard people say, â€Å"Medical School,†¦show more content†¦I have a 4 and a 1 year old who mean the world to me. I want to be a good role model to them and show them that with an education their dreams can became reality. I never had anyone to push me through school in fact; I w as the only one to finish High School out of 4 other siblings. How can I preach the importance of a college education if I never got one? It is a struggle everyday for me because while I get help with certain necessities such as food, health care, and my rent being paid, I am still left with utilities and other bills that are becoming harder and harder to pay without a job. It nearly puts me on the verge of tears because I need this for my family. It’s just us 3 and I want to show them that it is possible to pursue their dreams and anything can be done if they try. They have a better chance of success when I finish college and save as much money as I can to pay for their college education. I’m worried about their futures and it’s not about me anymore. I want the opportunity to succeed. All I need is one chance to prove myself and the grades that I am capable of, and I know you won’t regret it. Invest in me and my future, and the future of my children. I j ust need a helping hand right now. Even if I am not granted a scholarship I will still finish school, but it would make it so much easier for me if I could receive this help.
